A Federal Election has officially been called and we are continuing to introduce you to the candidates.
We spoke with Ken Gilpin, who is running for the People’s Party of Canada in Haldimand-Norfolk.
Gilpin has been involved in politics for some time, running as a candidate for the Reform Party in 1993 and 1997, saying he wanted to bring true democracy to the area and Canada at the time.
In 2021, he feels that same approach is needed now more than ever.
He feels the Conservative Party has had it’s stay long enough in our riding, and believes that the party as a whole has changed too much and it’s time for a new party to come forward.
He says the PPC is a growing party, and something he believes many Canadians will get behind.
Currently, Gilpin works in the steel industry and spent many years volunteering in various groups across the community – currently serving at the President of the Optimist Club of Simcoe and District.
