Local data supports what other top doctors are saying, that if you are double vaccinated you are less likely to get the virus – but if you do it’s not as severe.
During a media call, Epidemiologist Dr. Kate Bishop-Williams went over data from June and July.
A vast majority of the other 26 per cent were those who had an incomplete series, as in only 1 shot or the second shot but not two weeks out.
Dr. Bishop-Williams says the small amount that had the second shot and were past the two week point who contracted the virus were only caught due to regular testing.
She adds that it is important to follow all public health rules even if you are fully vaccinated.
