Starting tomorrow (Tuesday), summer camps return to Norfolk County.
Norfolk County Heritage & Culture is hosting camps celebrating the history and local landscape of Norfolk at the tail end of July through August.
The camps take place at the Port Dover Harbour Museum as well as the Waterford Heritage and Agricultural Museum.
Port Dover’s activities go on Tuesdays, Waterford’s go on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
To ensure the safety of our participants and staff, there will be a maximum of six participants per session.
The cost is $30 per session.
Extended hours are available at an additional fee.

Shipwrecked – Tuesday, July 27 (PDHM)
Our camp is shipwrecked at the Port Dover Harbour Museum! Join us and help get the campers and crew back home safely.
Time Travelers – July 28 (WHAM)
Let’s do the time warp! Travel back in time to explore Norfolk!
Treasure Hunters – August 3 (PDHM)
Help us discover the missing treasure of Lake Erie! Enjoy crafts and explore the museum during this adventure filled day.
Camp’s Got Talent: Heritage & Culture Style – August 4 (WHAM)
Are you up for a challenge? Join us for a camp filled with games.
History Mystery: Danger in the Past – August 10 (PDHM)
Put on your detective hat and join us to decipher clues, find hidden messages and solve the history mystery.
Medieval Wednesday – August 11 (WHAM)
Discover machines, myths and monsters of the medieval era.
Cast Your Nets – August 24 (PDHM)
Board ship for this camp all about the history of recreational and commercial fishing in Norfolk! Learn about the Quance dam, Lake Erie and the Waterford ponds.
The Great Outdoors – August 25th (WHAM)
Celebrate nature and discover how early settlers used the bounty of the outdoors.
Summer Fun – August 31 (PDHM)
Go back in time to celebrate summer fun and to learn about the Lake Erie playground!
Amazing Agriculture – September 1 (WHAM)
We’ll celebrate farming while discovering the large machines at the Waterford Museum.
