The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the length of time required to complete Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario Brant-Norfolk home projects.
They are also proving more costly to finish. And so a donation of $16,800 from 100 Women Who Care Norfolk will allow for completion of the current Habitat for Humanity project on Brook Street in Simcoe.
The funding was announced at the May meeting of the Norfolk Chapter.
Awaiting completion are the landscaping, grading, eavestroughs, soffits and fascia.
The owners took possession of their home April 29 and once the exterior work is complete, Habitat for Humanity will move on to their next Norfolk project.
