Beaches in Norfolk County were packed over the weekend.
While numbers are down both locally and provincially, there is some concern about the amount of people from across Ontario to our local beaches in bigger groups and unmasked.
Interim Medical Officer Of Health Dr. Alex Hukowich says even with an outdoor setting, and even with vaccinations, there is still a concern about these gatherings.
He suggests that if you go to the beach, and it’s jam packed, maybe think of an alternative activity to do that day.
The doctor said the numbers will indicate in a few weeks time if these gatherings are having an impact or not on COVID-19 cases.
