Norfolk County is looking at a post pandemic world and what they can do to bring in tourists to help the county and businesses in our community.
That’s why the county is looking at putting down some money, getting sponsors, and working with local businesses to bring in some live entertainment.
That was CAO Jason Burgess.
Plans are already percolating on what could happen with this, specifically at Saturday the 13th event next year.
The live events will benefit local businesses far and wide, with potential partners in this endeavour already being talked to.
Staff will begin working with Norfolk County’s Special Events Committee, representatives from partner organizations, and individuals in the community with specific expertise to develop a
plan and report back to Council by October.
Council will also be allocating $125,000 per year for the years 2022 -2024 from the Council Initiative Reserve to go towards this strategy.
