The Ward 2 all candidates debate night took place on Wednesday evening.
Bill Dendekker, a business owner, spoke on his personal experience when it comes to slow internet in the ward.
Dendekker’s top three issues facing the ward include taxes, help for farmers, and the need for the community facilities.
He also spoke to his ideas regarding alternative funding for the Langton arena.
Pamela Moore spoke to her lack of political background, but acknowledged that everyone needs to start somewhere.
She said that taxes are one of the biggest issues facing Ward 2.
When asked about the Langton Arena and Courtland Community Centre, Moore said she fully supports them, and said they are what makes a community.
Noel Haydt, a former Ward 1 Norfolk County Councillor, spoke to his time on council and the budget decisions he spearheaded during his time at the table.
The top issues Haydt believes Ward 2 is facing include the lack of high speed internet, the discussions surrounding the arena and community centres, and the Hydrogen Sulphide gas leak.
Another story featuring the other two candidates will be posted to NorfolkToday.ca. Russell Colebrook did not attend the event.
The Delhi Chamber has uploaded the full video of the debate on their website.
