A Norfolk County business will be getting a rare exception.
Federal health authorities have granted New Leaf Canada to build a first-of-its-kind laboratory to produce and study psychedelic drugs.
The building over this area is expected over the coming months.
The facility will produce psilocin, a hallucinogenic drug found in magic mushrooms.
Recently, it’s popped up in treatments for mental illness and addictions.
