A new Port Dover centric play is being commissioned for the Lighthouse Festival Theatre.
Kristen Da Silva is working on a one act play titled Beyond The Sea.
This is one of several plays being commissioned by the Theatre but this one has a bit more of a local twist.
That was Artistic Director Derek Ritschel.
Ritschel is excited for this play and the other plays on the horizon.
As to what the theatre will look like, he expects they will have an announcement in the coming weeks.
They are trying to be open and flexible in order to get some form of production up and running this year with the goal to have things somewhat back to normal, if not completely back to normal, in 2022.
For this summer, talks are still underway, but Ritschel does say that the prospect of outdoor shows are holding the most promise at this time.
