
A Dunnville man has been charged in connection to a fatal collision.
On March 11th, two vehicles collided on Highway 6 in Hagersville, causing one of the occupants to be ejected from the car.
27-year-old Ashley Banner of the Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nation was transferred to an out of town hospital with life threatening injuries but ultimately succumbed to those injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital on March 14th.
As a result, OPP has amended the charges for the driver of the grey sedan, 23-year-old Hunter Ward of Dunnville to:
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death
Operation of a motor vehicle causing death
Failure of refusal to provide a breath sample
Fail to comply with a probation order (3 counts)
Drive motor vehicle without a driver’s licence
OPP continue to investigate and is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any information to assist with the investigation to contact them.
