The Port Dover Foundation has turned to virtual means for fundraising this year.
That was foundation trustee Mark Stortini.
In previous years fundraising has taken place in the form of in-person events, such as mini putt. The proceeds go to non-profits in Port Dover.
A large portion of the entertainment will be pre-recorded to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions.
Local talent will include The Dover Fishnettes, The Shrubberies, Paris Port Dover Pipe Band, Felica McMinn, and more.
The telethon will take place on Saturday, May 1, starting at 6 p.m. It will be broadcast live from the Lighthouse Festival Theatre, where foundation members will be answering phones to accept donations.
With the event being a Facebook Live there is no entry fee to watch, but they are hopeful those that are able to donate will.
