The mystery of the missing Kiddieland sign has been solved.
The sign, which was reported stolen to the OPP on Friday, has been in the possession of Norfolk County the entire time.
Matt Terry, director of corporate communications for the county, explained the mixup.
“The County has been having conversations with the Turkey Point Property Owners Association about new signage in the area. As part of those discussions, and a review of existing signage, the County removed the sign in question,” he said. “It was reported as stolen before the County was able to let the OPP know that it had been removed.”
The police have been made aware of the sign’s whereabouts.
