Shoppers looking to go to the Dollarama at the Whitehorse Plaza in Simcoe on Sunday were met with a closed sign.
The reason was because a single staff member had tested positive for COVID-19.
The staff member in question last worked on the Saturday, and the store was temporarily closed on Sunday for deep cleaning.
The store is once again open.
Lyla Radmanovich, Media Relations for Dollarama, says the store and its employees will continue to follow the various preventive safety measures in place to protect everyone’s health, in accordance with the directives of public health officials.
This includes, but is not limited to, strict in-store capacity limits, frequent cleaning and disinfecting procedures, hygiene and respiratory practices, the use of PPE and a broad variety of other physical distancing measures.
