A Good Samaritan in Norfolk County was able to help OPP arrest two Aylmer residents after alerting police of suspicious activity.
Officers responded to a call about a theft in progress at a Highway 3, Middleton address, a suspicious person was seen under a vehicle in the parking lot of the dealership and immediately contacted police.
As a result, police charged 31-year-old Cornelius Berg and 34-year-old Jacob Berg both of Aylmer with theft under $5,000 and destroying or damaging property.
Both will attend court in Simcoe at a future date.

Norfolk OPP are investigating the theft of parcels from a Hillside Drive residence in Delhi.
Police were contacted New Year’s Day about the incident involving a pair of television sets stolen from the residence on Dec. 18.
The homeowner was not aware the packages had, in fact, been delivered.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
The OPP remind residents to contact them if they spot any suspicious activity.

A suspicious fire in Norwich.
Little is known other than a camping trailer was on fire this past Saturday and the fire has been deemed suspicious.
The Office of the Fire Marshall has been contacted and will be assisting the OPP with the ongoing investigation.

A Richmond Hill man is facing charges as part of a $200,000 fraud connected to a Tillsonburg business.
It was determined that between September of 2018 and January of 2020, police investigated several complaints of fraud from a heating ventilation and air conditioning business.
As a result of this, police arrested and charged 53-year-old Steve Joseph George Blondin.
He has been charged with fraud under $5,000 and three counts of fraud over $5,000.

An arrest made following a robbery in Cayuga.
Back in November, suspects entered a home, restrained the victim inside, and stole a wide variety of items from the residence.
Through the ongoing investigation, members of the Haldimand County OPP Crime Unit have identified individuals involved.
On Monday, with the assistance of London Police Service and Six Nations Police Service, OPP charged 45-year-old Jodi Simpson of Townsend with the following:
Robbery using a firearm
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Use of credit cardand a 45-year-old from Townsend was arrested tghis week.
The investigation is continuing with more arrests expected in the near future.
