If you looked up in the sky yesterday and saw a ball of fire, you weren’t alone.
A meteor is believed to have fallen into the earth’s atmosphere on Wednesday afternoon, with the American Meteor Society reporting sightings of the fireball across parts of the USA, the GTA area, and in Southern Ontario.
Reports so far believe the meteor entered the atmosphere in New York.
We’ve heard reports locally out of Port Dover from people who witnessed the ball of fire.
Western University researchers reportedly captured an image of the bright fireball in the sky while it was visible in southwestern Ontario yesterday.
