The Norfolk County OPP has provided an update on last night’s fatal collision.
Police say that 50-year-old Jeff Scott was struck by a vehicle heading west on Concession 10 Townsend at around 5:30pm.
According to police, the driver noticed a pickup truck in their lane, taking evasive action and swerving to avoid the parked vehicle.
When they swerved, police say they struck Scott, who was on the side of the roadway.
Suffering serious injuries, Scott was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Tributes to Scott started to come in this morning on social media from friends and family.
The Great Lakes Physiotherapy (where Scott was owner and CEO) Facebook page says that staff are putting together a memory book for his children.
They ask that anyone with a memory or photo of Jeff email them at glavesm@gmail.com with “Jeff Scott” as the subject line.
The post asks that people include their name and try to keep it short, if possible.
The Norfolk County OPP says that police collision investigators and members of the OPP West Region Reconstruction Team are assisting with the investigation.
