If ever there was an example of a community that has stared down adversity and is still standing, it would have to be Vittoria.
As evidence of a healthy rebound from its past reliance on the tobacco industry, the Norfolk County community will be front and centre tonight (Oct. 27) on CBC-TVs hit comedy, Still Standing.
Filmed over a four-day period at this time last year, the CBC visit concluded with an evening of comedy at the Vittoria Community Centre.
Segments from that event will be interspersed with clips from area notables including The Canadian Raptor Conservancy, Catherwood and the Kiln, and the Norfolk Quilters Guild.
Hosted by comedian Jonny Harris and featuring some good-natured ribbing at the expense of Vittoria, you can enjoy a visit to the picturesque community tonight at 8 on CBC-TV and CBC Gem.
