Cedarwood Village in Simcoe has been named in CBC’s marketplace’s latest investigation.
In a report released today, marketplace says Cedarwood Village received the 10th most written notices in Ontario between the start of 2015 and the end of 2019.
marketplace says that over 10,000 inspection reports from over 600 long-term care homes were examined from the Ontario government’s website.
Their investigation looked in-depth at repeat offenders, examining 21 of the most serious safety offences.
According to marketplace, as they counted homes that had violated the same code multiple times, they discovered 85% were repeat offenders.
We have reached out to Cedarwood Village for comment but have not heard back at this time.
marketplace’s episode will air tonight at 8pm on CBC.
