Vacation property owners in the region are beginning to think about closing up their properties this year.
Constable Ed Sanchuk recommends removing all valuable items and alcohol from the property as they’re often targeted by thieves.
Sanchuk says the OPP are committed to cottage and trailer security.
He adds that cottage owners can do their part by checking in on their vacation property during the offseason.
