Tuesday night’s Special Council Meeting saw a motion brought forward that should allow adult recreational hockey to get back on track.
Deputy Mayor Amy Martin explains what the motion means.
Martin brought forward the motion, saying that there was ice in the arenas with staff scheduled to work.
She questioned why adult leagues weren’t allowed, but skating and youth leagues are permitted.
Martin says other municipalities have permitted adult leagues, so why can’t Norfolk County?
She points out that the County can follow the lead of those other municipalities- they don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
