Coming up next weekend is the Pinup Picnic retro concert in Port Dover.
The event is free but donations are being accepted for the headliners, the Hellbent Rockers, and the openers, the New Rebel Westerners.
Hosted by Suzie’s Bombshell Boutique, owner Suzie Major goes over the details.
A Dover girl, Major admits that she’s missed the music in Powell Park and the events that run throughout the summer.
So, she decided to take it upon herself to get something set up, working with Norfolk County to ensure she had all of the proper safety measures in place.
Major says that hand sanitation stations will be set up with free masks available, adding that there will be plenty of space for people to keep their distance.
Continuing, she points out that might not be enough to make people feel safe enough to attend, so they’re even working on a livestream of the concert.
That way, people can enjoy the music from the comfort of their home.
