The 2nd annual All Hands On Deck Food Drive was a huge success.
On Friday, myFM gathered outside of Wilkinson’s Your Independent Grocer in Delhi, Foodland in Waterford, as well as the Real Canadian Superstore and the Apple Place in Simcoe.
We were looking to get donations, either food or cash, to go towards the Child Nutrition Network.
At the Apple Place, they were even selling bushels of apples to go towards CNN as well.
myFM General Manager explains a bit more about the Child Nutrition Network and why we decided to run this food drive to support them.
As previously mentioned, this was our second annual event but despite it taking place at the heart of a pandemic the generous nature of our community shined through ever more than before.
Aside from the large amount of food and the nearly 2000 lbs of apples donated, we also received $3000 in cash donations.
All of the donations went directly to CNN and will support Norfolk County schools.
