
An update on the collision involving a van and a motorcycle.
Saturday morning, police say a van, being operated by a 73-year-old Norfolk County man, was travelling westbound on St Johns Road West when the driver entered the intersection of Turkey Point Road and collided with a southbound motorcycle travelling on Turkey Point Road.
As a result of the collision, the operator of the motorcycle, a 58-year-old from Ayr, and passenger, a 48-year-old of North Dumfries Township, were both ejected and suffered serious injuries.
Both were airlifted by Ornge to hospitals in the Hamilton and London area for further treatment.
The driver of the SUV did not suffer any injuries.
The driver of the van was subsequently charged with disobeying a stop sign and will appear in court at a later date.

A 77-year-old cyclist suffers only minor injuries after being hit by a pickup truck.
Police say that a pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Robinson Street and was in the process of turning northbound onto Colborne Street when the truck collided with a bicyclist.
As a result of the collision, the Norfolk County man on the bike was ejected from the bike and sustained minor injuries.
Police have charged the operator of the truck, a 26-year-old of Norfolk County with left turn – fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The driver was issued a Provincial Offence Notice

A 61-year-old Norfolk County man is facing charges after slamming full speed into a road closure barricade.
On Saturday afternoon, police say that a Sports Utility Vehicle was travelling northbound on Turkey Point Road when they collided with an emergency road closure barricade at Charlotteville Road 5.
As a result, the driver was charged with careless driving.
