Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Toby Barrett says that Ontario will be committing nearly $1.7-million in funding for the replacement of Big Creek Bridge on the Long Point Causeway.
Barrett says the province received approval from the Federal government to move ahead with the funding on the long-awaited project.
As Barrett points out, the causeway bridge is the only link for locals and visitors between the Long Point community and the mainland.
He continues, explaining that investments into infrastructure will help kickstart the local economy as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today’s funding is among the nearly 150 projects nominated to the Federal government for funding approval as part of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
