The Norfolk County OPP is reminding the public of the dangers of jumping into the water after they were alerted about two youth jumping off the Port Dover Pier.
Police arrived on-scene but report that the pair had left with their father before they got there.
The obvious danger, police say, is hitting an underwater object or the water bed, which could lead to a serious injury.
They point out that you can jump a dozen times without hurting yourself but one bad landing could knock you unconscious.
The Port Dover Harbour Authority has posted signs regarding this behaviour after numerous complaints of people jumping into the water and swimming across the channel.
The Norfolk County OPP say they will enforce the Trespass to Property Act and deal with people accordingly.
