On Saturday night, the OPP were contacted about an incident on Ashton Drive in Simcoe where a driver and passenger in a car got into a verbal altercation with another individual.
At some point during the argument, the passenger suddenly discharged a pellet gun.
Officers patrolling the area had been alerted to a vehicle by a Good Samaritan and the car was pulled over.
26-year-old Devin Joseph Holliday of Norfolk County was charged with:
Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition,
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Failing to comply with probation order (four counts)
