
A contractor at Unilever Simcoe factory has tested positive for COVID-19.
Unilever’s media division confirmed the news, adding they are working with public health and following their guidance on the matter.
The added that when they were informed that the contractor was positive with COVID-19, they activated their COVID-19 positive response plan which included enhanced cleaning that uses hospital-grade cleaning products to kill any virus particles and sanitize all surfaces.
The continued saying they will continue to follow safety protocols at the site as outlined by the World Health Organization which include: thermal temperature and questionnaire screenings upon arrival for all employees and contractors; restrictions on visitors; enhanced cleaning protocols with hospital-grade cleaning supplies; social distancing practices and use of surgical masks.
