Being late for work is not an excuse to put other driver’s lives in danger.
That’s the message coming from the Norfolk County OPP following an incident Tuesday morning where they clocked a car going 135 km/h down Highway 59 in Windham.
Police say there is no excuse for going this fast and putting other drivers in harm’s way.
As a result, police have charged 22-year-old John Robert Porter of London with racing a motor vehicle and speeding.

A crash on Highway 6 sends a driver and passenger to the hospital with the passenger eventually escorted to a jail cell.
The single-vehicle collision took place on Highway 6 in Caledonia where police say the vehicle left the roadway and struck a guard rail causing non-life threatening injuries to both.
Further investigation and identification of the occupants determined the passenger was actually wanted on outstanding warrants for violation of their bail conditions.
As a result, OPP arrested the 37-year-old passenger from Norfolk County.

The Norfolk OPP received an odd call Monday morning.
Just before lunchtime, a resident on Stanley Street contacted the police after they spotted a woman walking down the middle of the road.
Police showed up, spoke with the woman, and then took her into custody.
Charged with possession of Cocaine and fail to comply with probation order is 22-year-old Kiana Rickitie Enoe of Norfolk County.
