The Norfolk County OPP report that a 15-year-old was stopped on Monday afternoon in Delhi going almost 100 km/h in a 40 zone.
Police say that officers were on patrol around Imperial Street when they noticed the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
Once they stopped the driver, they were charged with racing a motor vehicle, speeding and driving a motor vehicle without a licence.
In addition, the vehicle, which belonged to a friend, has been impounded for 7 days.
Police are reminding all drivers that the minimum fine for stunt driving if convicted is $2000 and an automatic driver’s licence suspension for seven days and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.

A senior scammed out of $500.
Police say an unknown man contacted the elderly resident claiming to be fraud security from Visa and eBay.
They said that the resident’s card was used for a $2000 fee and they wanted the senior’s assistance in tracking down the criminal.
The male then instructed the victim to attend a local store in order to purchase a number of gift cards.
The victim subsequently purchased approximately $500 in gift cards and then provided the suspect with serial numbers and pin numbers associated to those cards.
The male then indicated that another $2,000 had to be purchased at which time the victim realized that this was, in fact, a scam and contacted police.

Police are looking for a man following a physical confrontation in Waterford.
It was determined that a female was walking on the trail west of Alice Street when she approached a male in a motor vehicle on a newly cleared dirt road.
Both became involved in a verbal altercation which escalated into a physical confrontation.
The unknown male then re-entered his vehicle and left eastbound towards Alice Street.
Investigators would like to speak to this male who is described as white, 20’s, approximately 5’8, stocky build with slight facial hair.
He was wearing a red work style jacket with black pants.
The vehicle is described as silver/grey 4 door sedan and was very dirty in appearance.

One man facing several charges following an incident on Patterson Street in Simcoe.
A resident contacted the police after they were threatened by someone riding a bicycle.
Officers found the person and took them into custody.
Charged with the following offences is 28-year-old Christopher James Taylor of Norfolk County:
Assault
Possession weapon for dangerous purpose
Possession of Methamphetamine
Fail to comply with probation order (3 counts)
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

A police officer saves a life.
On Sunday night, officers arrived at a Hendry Street address to find a 36-year-old man in medical distress.
Officers arrived on the scene and identified that the male was in a medical crisis from what appeared to be an opioid overdose.
Officer’s immediately administered Naloxone when the male began to breathe.
He was then transported by ambulance to a local area hospital where he was treated by attending physicians.
