
Norfolk County has passed the 2020 Operating Budget and it has sparked quite the conversation.
A larger 8.4 per cent tax increase is happening, roughly $230 a year for the average homeowner, but the County says the move was necessary after years of financial mistakes from the previous councils.
We went out into the community to hear what the public had to say about this eventful week.
With that, as much as we had opinions on the increase, how it affected people’s lives, and who’s to blame for the increase – we also had just as many individuals who could care less about what was happening inside the Council chambers.
