
The Haldimand County OPP made five arrests on Thursday as a result of an investigation of criminal harassment, weapons, human and drug trafficking in Caledonia.
In a release sent out last night, Haldimand Police report that the investigation began last Sunday.
Police say that the investigation was undertaken under the direction of Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Inspector, Chris Landry.
Several OPP specialty units were engaged in the investigation, including the OPP West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Forensic Identification Services and OPP West Region Crime Unit.
They say that through their investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed at a Larry Crescent, Caledonia address where a quantity of illicit drugs and replica firearms were seized.
34-year-old Daniel Campbell, 30-year-old Joshua Hillock, 28-year-old Dragisa Lucic, 25-year-old Carly Creor and 34-year-old Crystal-Anne Marier, all from Caledonia were charged.
All five face four drug trafficking charges along with a charge of traffic in person.
Additionally, Campbell and Hillock both face three counts of criminal harassment and Campbell has an additional three charges of firearm-related offences.
All of the accused persons are being held for a bail hearing scheduled for Monday in Cayuga.
