A driver takes evasive action to avoid a head-on collision in Woodhouse.
In the early morning hours on Tuesday, police say the driver contacted the police after narrowly moving out of the way of another vehicle heading down Cockshutt Road.
The officers were able to locate the vehicle and the pull them over.
As a result, police charged 47-year-old Shane William Gill of Norfolk County with the following offences:
Dangerous Operation
Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration 80
Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
Driving while under suspension
Having care or control of a vehicle with Cannabis readily available
Having care of control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
He will appear in court at a later date.

A routine stop leads to a foot chase.
On Tuesday morning, officers pulled over a vehicle that caught their attention on Concession 2 in Woodhouse.
The vehicle stopped for the officer but then the driver took off on foot.
The individual was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
23-year-old Daniel Patrick William Scobie of Norfolk County was charged with:
Fail to stop for police
Speeding
Drive motor vehicle in contravention of conditions

A 15-year-old damages a well-known gazebo in the heart of Simcoe.
On Wednesday, police were called down to the Argyle Street entrance to the park where the incident occurred.
Officers say a resident saw the youth damaging the gazebo and went to intervene.
At that time several youths in the area ran away.
As a result, police have charged a 15-year-old of Norfolk County with mischief- destroys or damages property.
He will appear in court at a later date.
