Over 500 Winter Coats and additional warm clothing will be keeping kids warm this winter.
Coats For Kids went this past Saturday with the community once again showing their support.
Chair Dave Nicolle says at the event on Saturday, 200 knitted items and 278 coats were handed out with the overflow already accounted for.
Peerless Cleaners collected a majority of the coats, cleaning them all and delivering them for the hand out on Saturday.
The Langton Knitters once again hand made over 200 hat and mitt sets, 42 hats, 8 scarves, and 2 blankets.
Nicolle wanted to thank Sarah Kirby Insurance and the Royal Bank in Port Dover as well for being a drop off location for this winter gear as well as Eising’s Garden Centre for their enclosed trailer and the Fair committee and Simcoe Legion for providing coat racks for the event.
