Norfolk County announced yesterday that they have filled the roles of Director of Planning and General Manager of Development and Cultural Services with one hire.
Michael Sullivan, will take on the Interim role as Director of Planning and was named Acting GM as the County works to create a more streamlined and efficient planning process.
Sullivan, a registered professional planner, begins on November 13th, bringing more than 25 years of experience in planning with him.
He’s worked with other municipalities in the province and with private sector clients but says that he’s excited to implement ideas to the County in a way that’s uniquely Norfolk.
Some of Sullivan’s responsibilities will include the oversight of Planning, Development Engineering, the Building department, Tourism and Economic Development and Heritage and Culture.
