Residents of Norfolk County will now have a chance to see the impact plastics can have on Lake Erie, with the new Depths and Consequences art project on display at the Port Dover Harbour Museum.
Unveiled Tuesday night, the piece is an 8-foot mosaic of a sturgeon made by volunteers out of trash collected from Lake Erie.
The trash was collected by volunteers during clean-ups organized by Cleaning Up Norfolkâs Holly Anderson.
Suzanne Earls, who was the lead artist on the project, explains how it came to be.
Earls says that she was excited for it to be unveiled, hoping that it could spark conversation about the amount of plastics found in our waterways.
