With Furniture and Appliance Pick Up days approaching, Norfolk wants people to focus on the rules

Norfolk County’s Furniture and Appliance Pick Up days are approaching quickly.

It was formerly known as a Bulky Clean Up day, but a name change was in order as there was confusion as to what you can or can’t toss.

That was Norfolk’s Waste Managment Supervisor Jennifer Wilson. They are also allowing only the size of one pickup truck worth of waste per household. If the items you toss out take more than two people to lift it – it won’t be picked it up.

The pickup schedule is as follows:

May 29th to June 1st – Ward 5 pick up

June 4th to June 9th – Wards 6 and 7

June 11th to June 15th – Wards 3 and 4 plus part of Ward 1 east of Forestry Farm Road

June 18th to June 22nd – Ward 2 plus part of Ward 1 west of Forestry Farm Road.
