SSUP Norfolk is back for a third straight year.
The Student Start-Up Program helps students from grade 6 to 12 start up a summer business with small grants.
Norfolk’s manager of tourism and economic development Clark Hoskin says just like the previous years, the ideas of these students range dramatically.
The turn out was not as strong this year as it was in the past.
In 2017, over 100 students received funding but this year only 39 out of 97 students who applied got money.
Hoskin says the program is based on the contributions from corporate sponsors, which they are still looking for more.
