OPP plan to reward kids this summer

The Norfolk O-P-P say officers will be rewarding kids this summer if they get caught “doing the right thing.”

Through a partnership with Mac’s Convenience Stores, officers who see young people doing random acts of kindness and exhibiting positive behavior will get a coupon for a free frosty.

Constable Ed Sanchuk tells myFM officers want to build better relationships with Norfolk’s youth.

Police say Operation Freeze will see officers presenting thousands of these “tickets” to kids.

Wearing a bicycle helmet, picking up trash, observing crosswalks, or participating in community activities could earn kids a coupon.
