Man with small dog allegedly lights grass on fire then begins to play a recorder at the scene

An alleged musical arsonist in Ingersoll.

The Oxford OPP are reporting that on Saturday night a witnessed spotted a man with a small white dog lighting grass on fire near the parking lot at King Street East and Water Street.

While the grass was catching on fire, the man then pulled out a musical instrument that looked like a recorder and began to play a song.

When the grass did not catch on fire properly, he attempted to light it on fire again before fleeing the area.

There was also a woman spotted nearby that police would like to speak with.

Ingersoll Fire Service attended to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.

The man is described as around 30-years-old, 5’8 with a thin build and short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark T-shirt with blue and white plaid shorts.
