Heat warnings will remain in place until Friday

Southern Ontario remains under an extreme heat warning with humidex values expected to reach the 40s again.

Environment Canada says temperatures will remain high through the week and is warning people to stay cool.

Humidex values will reach the mid-thirties today and around forty for Wednesday and Thursday.

A cool down is expected by Friday.

According to the weather agency, this has been the most significant heat event in the past few years.
