Heat Warning in Effect

A Heat Warning is in effect.

Environment Canada says beginning Friday and continuing through the Canada Day long weekend we can expect daytime highs to stay between the low to mid-30’s with humidex values in the mid-40’s.

They add the heat can affect anyone, but the risks are more significant for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Swelling, a rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and worsening of health conditions can occur with heat illness.
