Gas companies may find a way around the Doug Ford’s promise, expert warns_

A Senior Petroleum Analyst has checked the numbers and tells myFM that PC Leader Doug Ford’s promise to lower gas prices by 10 cents per liter is achievable.

McTeague says the government of Nova Scotia reduce gas prices by 2 cents per liter In 1992, but retailers spiked their prices by 2 cents to increase their profits.

He says gas stations in Ontario could follow suit.

McTeague also said that the government has limited control over the spike in gas prices during holidays and long weekends.
