2 Adults, 3 Children, and a family dog suffer minor injuries after being struck by lightning

Two adults, three children, and a family dog are recovering from minor injuries after being struck by lightning.

The group was standing under two large maple trees at a Main Street address in Courtland when the bolt of lightning struck down.

Constable Ed Sanchuk tells us that they were rushed to the hospital but thankfully only appear to have only sustained minor injuries from the incident.

Sanchuk wants to remind the public that there is no safe place to be outside when there is a thunderstorm.
