SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENTS WARNS OF FREEZING RAIN AND A COLD FRONT
1/11/2018 10:24:30 AM

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement which warns of another cold front to hit the region.

Mild and rainy conditions are expected throughout the day and evening and into Friday morning. But forecasters say a strong cold front will bring an abrupt end to the mild spell.

Rain will quickly transition to snow, with a risk of brief freezing rain during the changeover. Snowfall amounts are expected to be limited to a few cm.

With the much colder air moving in on Friday, icy conditions on roads and sidewalks are likely due to either melted snow or rain.
