A couple of lawnmowers and a trailer were stolen from Egger's Truck and Machine in Dunnville. According to police two men broke into the locked compound and loaded the machines onto an Egger trailer. Two industrial sized Ariens lawnmowers were then hauled away by a pickup truck.

MOTORIST CHARGED AFTER GIVING A CYCLIST A RIDE

Police say luckily no-one was hurt after a cyclist was caught holding on to the back of a moving pick-up truck. Happened Saturday along Chapel and Head Street in Simcoe. Constable Ed Sanchuk says doing a stunt like this could ultimately lead to death.

Roughly 7,500 cyclists are seriously injured every year in Canada. The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit has created their Share the Road campaign in hopes that local cyclists don't become a statistic.

SMOKE DETECTORS CREDITED FOR POSSIBLY SAVING A LIFE AFTER A FIRE NEAR TEETERVILLE

Norfolk Fire and rescue are crediting a working smoke detector for possibly saving a life over the weekend. A mobile home burst into flames on Saturday night on Windham East Quarter Line Road just east of Teeterville.

The President of the O-P-P Association thinks Norfolk County should 'think twice' when it comes to looking at a municiple police force. Jim Christie says there's probably a good reason why Norfolk got rid of their local police force in the 90's and went with the OPP.

A 31 year old Norfolk man has been arrested for shoplifting from the Real Canadian Superstore. OPP say the man ran from employees who noticed him steal and tried to hide in a wooded area behind the store.

UNWILLING HOSTS STILL DON'T HAVE MUCH SAY WHEN IT COMES TO WIND TURBINES

Norfolk council has requested two moratoriums on Industrial Wind Turbines. Norfolk council has also joined 43 other municipalities across Ontario in becoming unwilling hosts to these giant towers. And it appears it was all for not.

PETITION IS CIRCULATING AROUND SIMCOE ABOUT THE PENDING CUTS AT LONG TERM CARE AND RETIREMENT HOMES

A petition was circulating around downtown Simcoe on Friday afternoon about recent cuts coming to physiotherapy for seniors in long term care and retirement homes. Several people held signs and collected signatures in front on local MPP Toby Barrett's office.
