NGH DECLARES C. DIFFICILE OUTBREAK

C. difficile outbreak at the Norfolk General Hospital. The affected area is on 4B with symptoms including watery diarrhea and abdominal pain or tenderness. Hospital staff is working to bring this outbreak under control and have isolated all patients with Clostridium Difficile.

CONDOS COMING TO THE FORMER MALIBOO

The Maliboo is set to be converted into condos. Monte Sonnenburg from the Simcoe Reformer reports that the former adult establishment will be converted into 6 or 7 condominium units along with some retail space on the main level.

UPDATE ON FATAL HIT-AND-RUN IN DELHI

The Norfolk OPP are continuing to investigate the hit-and-run death of Sally Ann Dollard in Delhi. The incident occurred on March 17th, and since then police have identified two transport trucks that were passing through the area during the time of the collision.

ELEMENTARY LEVEL WRESTLING IS BACK: LYNNDALE HEIGHTS WINS BIG

Norfolk County has not participated in elementary level wrestling in many years, but Wednesday changed that. Students from Lynndale Heights Public School went to Brant County after a long absence to compete in a tournament, and those students certainly made an impact.

THE SIMCOE SEALS ARE OFF TO MONTREAL

The Simcoe Seals Special Olympics swim team is looking to add to its medal count when they head for a weekend competition in Quebec. Last year, the Seals brought home an incredible 63 medals - 30 gold, 19 silver, 14 bronze -- at the 'Defi Sportif AlterGo' in Montreal.

NORFOLK COUNTY RESIDENT SCAMMED OUT OF $30,000

Norfolk County resident swindled out of $30,000. The Norfolk OPP are warning the public about a scam known as Facebook Mega Millions Sweepstakes. Police say the victim responded to a request on Facebook in April where they were informed that they won a significant amount of money.

ROBBERY AT GUNPOINT IN MIDDLETON

Robbery in Middleton. Police say around 1:50 a.m., an unknown man entered a garage on County Road 30. The suspect then pulled out a gun and confronted a man inside, stealing cigarettes and illegal drugs before fleeing.

SIMCOE ASKED TO CONSERVE WATER EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Norfolk County is asking Simcoe residents to conserve water. From April 27th until May 1st, maintenance work is planned for the Cedar Street Water Supply, and during this time the amount of water available to residents and businesses will be reduced.

MAN AND A WOMAN CAUGHT DUMPING TRASH IN DOVER: MEMORIAL BENCH VANDALIZED IN SIMCOE

Police plan to speak with a man and a woman who were caught dumping garbage in an empty field in Port Dover. On Tuesday afternoon, someone spotted a grey pickup truck pulling into a field off New Lakeshore Road.
