A 45 yeard old woman was been charged with shoplifting after investigating an incident on Main St. in Jarvis. On Friday police were called to Timber Mart due to a theft complaint that claimed the woman had stole cleaning products from the store.

Over the last three days there has been a large number of crimes involving parked vehicles in Norfolk. On Sunday morning unknowns damaged the driver side rear door of a vehicle on Simson Avenue in Simcoe.

COAST GUARD, RESCUE HELICOPTER, SAVE STRANDED BOATERS NEAR TURKEY POINT

Police had to rescue four people on Lake Erie late Monday evening after a rented boat failed to return to shore. The Canadian Coast Guard and a rescue helicopter helped pick up the three adults and one child east of Turkey Point after they were reported missing for hours.

With Canada Day quickly approaching there will be lots of closures to take note of, so if you're headed out it's always best to call ahead. Most major grocery stores like the Real Canadian Superstore and Walmart will be closed. Municipal offices, libraries, banks are closed.

Police say there have been more speed-related deaths on Ontario roads than distracted-driving deaths so far this year. The OPP say of the 129 deaths of roads they patrol, 28 of those were as a result of speed.

CANADA PARADE SET TO GO IN PORT DOVER

The longest running Canada Day parade in the province will roll through the streets of Port Dover on Wednesday. The boat parade at the harbour begins at 11 a.m. and the big parade along Main Street will start at 2 p.m.

MISSING MAN FOUND IN HAGERSVILLE

A missing 86-year old man is back home safe and sound after he was reported missing by caregivers in Hagersville on Sunday. After hours of searching, police were able to locate the senior citizen with the help of the Canine Unit on a rail trail near Kensington Park.
