SIMCOE'S FARMERS MARKET GETTING SET TO CELEBRATE BIG MILESTONE

For 35 years Simcoe's Farmers Market has been selling local goods and they want to celebrate that with a Customer Appreciation Day. The event runs on the August 13th and they will have live music from 10-2 p.m. and a 50-50 draw from the Norfolk General Hospital.

Hot and humid conditions blanketing Halidmand-Norfolk are expected to ease slightly today. Environment Canada says while daytime highs are expected to reach 30 degrees again, humidity levels should be lower.

TWO CHARGED AFTER A SEARCH WARRANT WAS EXECUTED

The Norfolk County Street Crime Unit have charged two people with drug and weapon offences after executing a search warrant. On Tuesday around 8:15am police went to a house on Chapel street and conducted the search. Once inside they found unauthorized weapons, cocaine, and marihuana.

POLICE LOOKING FOR A MALE SUSPECT AFTER A BREAK AND ENTER AT A PHARMACY

Waterford Pharmacy was the scene of a break and enter early Monday morning. Police say the unknowns foricibly gained entry and once inside stole methadone along with a methadone pump.

He's been found! Police say they have located a missing 79-year old man in downtown Simcoe. The Norfolk OPP say a senior walked away from a medical centre on West Street around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and managed to go missing.

OPP LOOKING FOR A MISSING SENIOR CITIZEN IN SIMCOE

Store owners and those out and about in downtown Simcoe are being asked to keep their eye peeled for a missing 78-year old man. The Norfolk OPP say the senior walked away from a medical centre on West Street and was last seen heading east bound on Robinson Street around 10:30 a.m.

SMALL FIRE LEADS TO RESIDENTS BEING EVACUATED AT DOVER CLIFFS NURSING HOME

No one was hurt after a small fire sparked an evacuation at Dover Cliffs Nursing Home in Port Dover Wednesday morning. Just before 8 a.m. about 30 firefighters from Simcoe and Dover rushed to the scene on St. George Street after getting word of a dryer fire.
