It's shaping up to be an exciting weekend in local Hockey. Things will kick off on Friday with the Storm heading to Grimsby for their 7:30 PM Game, and the Travelers making their way into Tavistock for another 7:30 game.

OPP AUXILIARY FOOD DRIVE HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND

Auxiliary officers with the Norfolk O-P-P are continuing with their Food Drive this weekend. Officers will be at the Real Canadian Superstore along the Queensway in Simcoe on Friday at 4-9 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM to collect donations for the Simcoe Caring Cupboard.

Organizers with the Simcoe Christmas Panorama are gearing up for what's "traditionally" known as the busiest weekend of them all. It's the last weekend before Christmas. President Bryan Zilkey says they will be running in full swing, including a brand new program.

HALDIMAND COULD "POSSIBLY" SAVE $1.2-MILLION IN POLICING COSTS

On paper it may look great, but those sitting on Haldimand County Council aren't holding their breath. Elected officials there recently learned they could potentially save $1.2-million in policing costs in 2015 due to a new billing method used by the province.

VITTORIA WOMEN'S INSTITUTE DONATES $1000 TO THE NGH

The Vittoria Women's Institute continues to show their support for the Norfolk General Hospital. On Thursday they presented the NGH with a cheque for $1,000. The money will be used for the hospital's Automated Drug Dispensing Cabinet campaign.
