Police are hoping someone can tell them who stole the Rick Danko signs from the Bills Corners area. Police say they received a call that the signs disappeared on Wednesday. Police are also seeking the public's assistance in finding a sign that was stolen in Normandale.

NEW CARPET STORE COMING TO SIMCOE

A new flooring store is coming to Simcoe. Carrillo Carpets got the green light from council to take over the former Moose Lodge building along Bank Street North. The retail store, which is also located in Brantford, says they have expertise in flooring and installations since the 1980s.

FARMLAND VALUES ON THE RISE

According to Farm Credit Canada the average value of farmland in the country went up 14.3 per cent in 2014. While the numbers weren't quite as high in Ontario we did see an increase of 12.4 per cent.

MAYOR LUKE DELIVERS POSITIVES IN STATE OF THE COUNTY ADDRESS

In his state of the county address Mayor Charlie Luke announced that Norfolk County is in great financial shape. The mayor spoke about the county's credit rating being upgraded to A plus stable, while also carrying a "modest" debt level which currently sits at 9 per cent.

Someone in Simcoe will need a new set of tires after tire slashing spree took place on Ireland Road in Simcoe. Happened during the early morning hours on Friday to a vehicle that sitting in a parking lot. A $2,000 reward could be up for grabs if anyone can tell Crime Stoppers who did it.

GREASY GRISZLY DISCOVERY AT SOCIAL SERVICES IN SIMCOE

It appears someone has "beef" with Ministry of Community & Social Services in Simcoe. Police say a large quantity of partially cooked beef was thrown into one of their mail boxes. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Norfolk OPP or Crime Stoppers for a potential reward.

THINGS GETTING HEATED ON THE PICKET LINES

Unionized nurses and staff at CarePartners in Simcoe and Niagara are on strike. In total this impacts about 140 employees of the Local 194 including 20 members from Norfolk. They have been walking the picket lines every day in front of the CarePartners building on Victoria Street.
