Haldimand OPP seized about $10,000 worth of marijuana after executing a search warrant in Selkirk. Police say the found the weed at the home on Rainham Road.

HEALTH UNIT ROLLS OUT FREE FLU SHOT CLINICS THIS WEEK

The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit will start offering free flu shot clinics this week. Nurses will be at the Deli Friendship Centre on Tuesday from 10-2 p.m. and on Wednesday at the Simcoe Town Centre from 9-3 p.m. In Canada, flu season typically runs from November to April.

12TH ANNUAL RADIOTHON HITS THE AIRWAVES TOMORROW

Only one more sleep until the Norfolk General Hospital's Radiothon hits the myFM air-waves. All funds raised this year will go towards buying new equipment to dispense medication for patients. The NGH is hoping to raise $200,000 to buy the five cabinets.

OPP BRIEFS INCLUDE VANDALS POURING MOTOR OIL THROUGHOUT HOME

A home on West Quarter Line Road was destroyed by vandals last Thursday night. OPP were called to the home in South Walsingham in the early morning hours. The home is currently under renovations and someone broke in and smashed in the windows and poured motor oil throughout the home.

MAN FACING SERIOUS INJURIES AFTER A FIGHT IN HAGERSVILLE

A 34-year old man has been arrested and charged after an ugly assault took place in Hagersville. Early Thursday morning police were called to King Street after a 50-year old man from Six Nations was assaulted. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

BACHELOR PARTY TURNS VIOLENT

A bachelor party went sour in Haldimand after an attendee was charged with assault and drunk driving. Norfolk OPP were called to Jenny Jump Road after getting word of a fight between members of a bachelor party.

THREE VEHICLE CRASH IN SIMCOE

Police Fire and EMS are on the scene of a three vehicle crash in Simcoe. OPP say the cars collided at the the Queensway East and Norfolk Street North intersection. Expect delays. Westbound lanes are closed and traffic is being rerouted.

TEENS ESCAPE SERIOUS INJURIES AFTER CRASHING INTO HYDRO POLE

Two teenagers escaped serious injuries after crashing into a hydro pole along the Cockshutt Road. Police, fire and EMS rushed to the scene just after 8 o'clock Sunday evening when an SUV left the roadway and smashed into a hydro pole.

ANTIQUE TRUCK STOLEN AT PUMPKINFEST

An Antique 1965 Chevrolet CT Custom shot box pick up truck has been stolen in Waterford. The owner of the truck brought it to town for the antique car show at PumpkinFest this past weekend. It was taken on Sunday afternoon while it was parked on Brown Street East.
