Police are searching for answers after a Jack Russell Terrier was stolen from a property in Jarvis. OPP were called to the Little Johnny's Restaurant along Main St. on Friday afternoon. The dog was spotted leaving with a man and woman driving an older style red SUV.

POLICE INVESTIGATE "BOGUS ARMED ROBBERY" IN DOWNTOWN SIMCOE

Police were called to investigate what turned out to be a bogus armed robbery at the Over the Rainbow clothing store in Simcoe. The Norfolk O-P-P were called to the scene Saturday morning. After a lengthy investigation officers determined the allegations were unfounded.

COUNTY TO MOVE INTO FORMER AMERICAN CAN PROPERTY NEXT MONTH

Norfolk County staff are getting set to move into the former American Can Site at the end of the month. Construction is near its completion on the first phase at Queen and Robinson in Simcoe.

COUNTY OFFICIALS "SHOCKED" AFTER RULING AGAINST LAMBTON COUNTY

Just like hundreds of other municipalities across Ontario, Norfolk County officials were just as surprised that a judge didn't throw out a case against the County of Lambton. Norfolk's roads manager is Bill Cridland.

WATER MAIN BREAK BRINGS BUSY INTERSECTION TO A HALT

A water main break caused quite the headache at a busy intersection in Simcoe . Crews spent hours trying to repair the break causing a disruption at Norfolk Street North and the Queensway on Sunday. The break happened in the afternoon and the problem wasn't resolved until later that night.

POLICE IDENTIFY MAN ACCUSED OF ROBBING TWO BANKS ON FRIDAY

Police have released the name of the man accused of robbing two banks in Jarvis and in Simcoe on Friday. He's been identified as 52-year old Albert Benjamin Spyksma of Welland. Just before 10-a.m. Friday morning, a man attempted to rob the CIBC in Jarvis, but was unsuccessful.

The Liberal party of Canada have announced their newest candidate to represent Haldimand-Norfolk in the next federal election. She is Joan Mouland of Norfolk, who is currently getting a team of volunteers in place.
